Concept statement: Resistance is feudal
For my print and play game, I have been asked to establish a general theme by my teacher. I may not have said what I was gonna go with in my last post but the general idea was that the game was gonna be about two feudal lords fighting to take over each others keep. This means that the general theme of the PnP game will be medieval. Items like cards, Pawns, and even the manual will all have to fit this theme. Boarders of the play area would be floral and resemble that of flowers found on medieval paintings. Much of the design would resemble that of period artwork.

Many of the paper pieces like knights, peasants, mercenaries, and other classes would have the same sort of drawing style. With a wealth of artworks from the early, high, and late medieval period, I think it will be easy to find some artwork that will match my ideas.
As for the board game, I feel as though a more realistic birds eye view should be taken, however I think once the prototype has been completed, that may change to a semi realistic style.
When it comes down to it my idea has to have a strong theme to unify all elements of the PnP game otherwise I may not have a strong game.
