For class we were assigned to review another game and have a bit more of an in depth look at the mechanics.
The game I decided to play was called Quick joust in simplest terms is a game of two players (although it can be played with more in a tourney style match). The goal of the game is to either get the most points out of 3 rounds (you can make more rounds if you desire) or unhorse your opponent. The games core mechanics involve playing cards with drawings of arrows and two jousting tracks that are five card spaces long.
The cards that have the jousting track illustration on them are where the space of the game will take place. However the player also has cards that they quickly draw from a stack of five right next to the track. The game traditionally comes with a cutout lance icon but I substituted the paper piece with coins. The other objects you play with are cards and in more advance games shield icons. The game is pretty much chance based as the only way to win is by picking random cards.
Overall this game was rather enjoyable. especially for a 15 min game.
